STEEL-FRAMED ARCHITECTURAL GEM RECEIVES A NEW TERRACE
An architectural historian and wife replace the building-length plank deck protruding westward over the precipice on Eagle Rock’s eastern ridge. Bold universal interior space created by existing parallel ‘I’ Beam rectangles are suspended on ‘V’-shaped cut steel feet. The new terrace uses wood plank and steel from the historic edifice, reshaped to distinguish new from the cherished original. (1850SF; 8/2006 completed).
